Perla is a board-certified Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 24 years of healthcare experience and over 7 years of experience in Advanced Practice. Throughout her career, she has gained valuable expertise in the treatment of various mental health disorders, including but not limited to anxiety, bipolar, depression, insomnia, and alcohol/substance use disorders.

A bit about Perla's approach to treatment

Perla has a compassionate and nonjudgmental approach, with a focus on providing holistic care and integrating medication interventions to help individuals struggling with mental health or alcohol/substance use disorders.

She has extensive expertise in medication-assisted treatment (MAT) for alcohol/substance use disorders, encompassing a deep understanding of various MAT options, including but not limited to Suboxone (buprenorphine), Zubsolv, Sublocade, Vivitrol (naltrexone), Campral (acamprosate), Antabuse (disulfiram), and provides methadone consultations. Her commitment lies in facilitating a safe and effective treatment journey for individuals seeking assistance with medication initiation, withdrawal symptom management, side effect mitigation, gradual or expedited medication tapers, detoxification, as well as long-term medication maintenance.

Through a person-centered approach, she prioritizes individualized care, valuing and respecting the preferences of each client. Her goal is to empower individuals on their path towards long-lasting recovery from mental health disorders, while always emphasizing their safety, comfort, and overall well-being. By leveraging her expertise and adopting evidence-based practices, she strives to deliver exceptional care that supports individuals in achieving their recovery goals and leading fulfilling lives.


Tammy Munoz, LPN

Practice Manager

Tammy is a compassionate and dedicated nurse specializing in the mental health field. With years of experience, Tammy possesses a deep understanding of the complexities surrounding mental health issues and substance abuse disorders. Her approach to client care is characterized by empathy, respect, and a genuine desire to help those in need.

Since obtaining her LPN certification in August 2010, Tammy has demonstrated a strong commitment to providing high-quality care to individuals in various settings including medical offices, treatment centers, and correctional facilities.

Outside of her professional role, Tammy finds joy and fulfillment in her role as a wife and mother. Married with six children and three grandchildren, family is at the center of her life. Tammy's values of faith and love guide her actions both personally and professionally, instilling a sense of compassion and integrity in all that she does.

Her role has been instrumental in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our practice, with a focus on delivering the highest quality care to our clients.

James possesses a solid background in overseeing significant job operations, with over 20 years of dedicated experience in managing complex systems and processes. In addition to his technical proficiency, James is deeply committed to fostering a compassionate and supportive environment for our clients. He understands the importance of clear communication and empathy. With his combination of operational expertise, compassion, and dedication to excellence, James plays an indispensable role in the success of our practice, supporting our mission to empower individuals on their journey towards mental wellness.
